A special blog series dedicated to helping people make their educational resolutions for 2013 a reality. Whether your goal is finishing an associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree, you’ll learn from the experiences of actual students who are balancing work, a busy life, family, classes and homework.
According to recent surveys, education has been a popular resolution among adult Americans over the past decade and is now one of the top personal goals for 2013. In fact, the U.S. Department of Education estimates that some 34 million Americans over age 25 have some college credits but never completed a degree. Most working adults are not able to put their lives on hold while going back to college – especially parents- but there are ways to make it happen when you pick the right program and make a commitment to completing it. #MyDegree2013 is a special blog series dedicated to helping people do exactly that. You’ll meet some busy working adult students who are realizing their educational dreams and they’ll share how they manage work, family, classes, homework and a social life. Some of these students are earning a degree entirely online while others attend one of Brandman’s 26 campuses in California and Washington. Each week there will be a new blog with advice and practical information on a wide variety of topics, such as:
- Selecting the right degree program
- Understanding Accreditation
- Financial Aid
- How to Apply for Scholarships & Grants
- Balancing Your Busy Life While Earning a Degree
- How to Succeed in College as an Adult Student
